MORE ABOUT OUR TREATMENT METHODS
Every patient is different. Treatment is tailored to the individual and may include one or more of the following approaches depending on the condition being treated.
Acupuncture - One of the oldest and most widely used medical therapies in the world. Thin, sterile, single-use needles are used to stimulate specific points throughout the body. It is used to reduce pain, improve circulation, calm the nervous system, decrease inflammation, restore mobility, restructure tissues, and support the body's natural healing processes.
Electro-Acupuncture - A modern adaptation of traditional acupuncture that involves applying gentle electrical stimulation to acupuncture needles. Electro-acupuncture is used to reduce pain, calm irritated nerves, decrease inflammation, improve circulation, and support muscle and tissue recovery.
APIT - Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT) combines acupuncture with carefully selected homeopathics, local anesthetics, and/or vitamins injected into specific acupuncture points. These injections may be used to calm the nervous system, relieve pain, improve circulation, support tissue healing, and enhance recovery.
Trigger Point Therapy aka Dry Needling - Through injury, overuse, and life our bodies can develop adhesions of muscle, fascia and nervous tissue. These ‘knots’ are located, isolated, and stimulated with needles in order to reset the tissue, decrease inflammation, improve range of motion, restore healthy movement patterns, and improve function.
Fire Cupping - Fire cupping is a traditional therapy where glass cups are heated with fire and placed onto the skin. As the air inside the cup cools, a vacuum is created that gently lifts and separates the tissue. This suction and separation of tissue layers may improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, support recovery, and promote healing.
Guasha - Traditional Chinese therapy similar to Graston® therapy, where a smooth-edged instrument is used to stimulate circulation, address fascial restrictions, and break up scar tissue. Gua Sha is used to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support healing.
Asian Bodywork Therapy & Tui Na - Asian Bodywork Therapy and Tui Na are hands-on treatment methods used to reduce pain, improve mobility, release muscle tension, and support recovery from injury. Pressure ranges from gentle touch to deep tissue depending on patient needs and treatment goals.
